The Kinkonauts, Calgary's Improv Lab, has delighted audiences with extraordinary unscripted theatre since 2006. Every show is a unique, never to be repeated adventure. Enjoy the tightrope thrill of performers living completely in the moment. Improvised stories and characters you'll still be laughing about at the bar later. 

Improv 201: Intro Part 2

This is a six week course with sessions running 7:30-9:30pm on the following Tuesdays:

November 5, 12, 19, 26, December 3, 10.

Classes are for students aged 18+

Prerequisite: Improv 101 (formerly Intro to Improv Part 1), or the recommendation of a Calgary Improv School instructor. Ask Devin if you have questions about your level.

Continue building on what you learned in Improv 101, and wade into spontaneous agreement, character, and stage skills.

Instructor: Aurora Huszti

Aurora (she/her) is a performer, actor and avid improviser with over 10 years of experience performing and creating improv. She has called The Kinkonauts her improv home for these past 10 years and has a special interest in long form improv that focuses on character relationships and grounded, emotional scene work. She has directed, devised, and performed in too many improv shows to count over the years, but a few special highlights for her are:

Aurora's main focus as a teacher is to push her students beyond their self limiting beliefs, get them to follow the fear, and to learn that failure is the only way forward. 

Right now Aurora can be found teaching through the Calgary Improv School, helping teach The Kinkonauts Conservatory program, and performing with her improv duo "Two Girls Improv". "Two Girls Improv" can be found performing in Calgary throughout the year and on Instagram @twogirlsimprov.
