Ignite - Eastwood Arts 2025 Fundraising Gala

Welcome to Eastwood Arts 2025 Fundraising Gala!

We invite you to join us in the Eastwood Collegiate Institute Auditorium for Ignite - a 2 act variety show featuring student performances in music, dance, drama as well as the occasional surprise.  Visit the Juried Studio Art Exhibition in the Drama Room and the Film and Animation Showcase in the Library before the show and during intermission.  Students from Eastwood's Integrated Arts Program are the performers, production crew, artists and film makers.

• Friday November 28 at 7:00pm
• Saturday November 29 at 1:00pm
• Saturday November 29 at 7:00pm

Doors open one hour before curtain

Gala Ticket Sale Dates:

• Tickets for a Cause - November 7-11 (online)
• Advance Cash Ticket Sales - November 12 (onsite at Eastwood in the Student Activity Office during lunch - cash only)
• General Ticket Sales - November 14 to 28 (online, sales close one hour before each show)
• Door Cash Ticket Sales - (onsite, available one hour before showtime and up to and during intermission)

What are Tickets for a Cause?

These early bird tickets are perfect for those who would like to purchase a ticket and make a donation to the IAP Student Assistance Fund.  This fund provides financial assistance to students from all areas of the IAP in need as determined by an Eastwood staff member.  This could include help to cover club fees, field trip payments, registration fees, etc.  

These tickets are $40.  Half of the ticket price covers the cost of your ticket and gives you early access to seat selection.  The rest is put directly in the IAP Student Assistance Fund.

Tax Deductible Donations to the Integrated Arts Program:

All donations can be made through the Waterloo Education Foundation Inc. (WEFI) online portal. Please select Eastwood C.I. from the fund drop down and indicate that your donation is for the “Integrated Arts Program – Account #0062” in the message field. Tax-deductible receipts will be issued automatically through WEFI.

Raffle and Concession Information:

A raffle table with exciting prizes will be in the lobby during each show.  Raffle tickets (cash only) are 1 ticket for $5 or 3 tickets for $10.  Prizes will be drawn before the end of each performance.  Concessions will be available for purchase as well.

More about the Integrated Arts Program and Gala:

For nearly 40 years, Eastwood Collegiate Institute (ECI) has been home to the Waterloo Region District School Board's Integrated Arts Program (IAP).  This unique program offers students an enhanced arts experience in drama, instrumental and vocal music, dance, fine art, graphic design, media arts, and production technology.  Students have the opportunity to 'Find Their Art' by exploring and integrating multiple disciplines throughout their time at ECI.

The enriched education and extracurricular activities offered to students in the IAP rely heavily on fundraising efforts.  Our annual Gala is an opportunity for our families, friends and community at large to help us raise much needed money for this wonderful art program to continue inspiring creative students from all corners of the Region of Waterloo and beyond.

Additional Event Info:

The upper Weber Street doors and those from the staff parking lot entering from Jackson Street and student parking lot entering from Montgomery Avenue will be open to the public one hour before show time.  Elevator access is available via the staff parking lot off Jackson Street.  Doors to the auditorium will open half an hour before show time.  Late arrivals should go to the Weber Street upper doors for entry.
