How-To Guide to Writers' Circles

Writing doesn’t have to be a solitary act. In this interactive workshop, writers – fiction, non-fiction, memoir –– will learn practical ways to create or strengthen their writing groups and imagine a more positive approach to writing. Through guided activities and discussions, writers will discover what makes groups supportive, productive, and joyful—and leave with tools to build a community that keeps them writing.

Thatcher Carter is an educator and creative writer who taught English in California for twenty-five years. She is the author of the 2025 multi-generational family novel Razed. Thatcher lives in Kingston.
