Description

Join us for the opening of our latest exhibition, Hope Meets Action, on June 14th from 2:00-5:00pm!

About the exhibition:

Celebrate the opening of Hope Meets Action, a travelling exhibition from the Royal BC Museum at the Museum of Vancouver. The exhibition explores the histories and ongoing lives of Black communities in British Columbia, highlighting stories that have often been overlooked or erased.

Be among the first to view the exhibition and join curator Josh Robertson for an introduction to the show, including insights into the research, stories and community collaborations that shaped it as part of the Juneteenth Listening Room: Ancestral Memory Dialogue & Performance

Alongside the exhibition, visitors are invited to engage with community booths from Hogan’s Alley Society and the Vancouver Black Therapy & Advocacy Foundation. Learn more about their work in advancing housing justice, cultural revitalization, and access to mental health supports for Black communities across Metro Vancouver.

Your RSVP will be your free admission ticket into the galleries.

It will open to the public starting Sunday, June 14, 2026 and is expected to run until September 13, 2026.

Our monthly Pay What You Can Days are held on the first Sunday of every month, and are a great opportunity to visit the Museum at whatever price suits visitors best. The first PWYC Day when Hope Meets Action will be in view is on Sunday, July 5, 2026.
