Home on the Range Overnight Camp – Week One (July 6 - 10)

Imagine a summer camp where your child sleeps in a real bunkhouse, tours Heritage Park after dark and wakes up with the ranch animals! Your kids will have so much fun at this camp they won't want to leave, and for five full days, they won’t have to! They'll be fully immersed in the past from sunrise to sunset…and beyond! They'll even get a very special behind-the-scenes look at Heritage Park that few others get to experience. Plus they will get to: 

  • Sleepover in the historical Burns’ Barn bunkhouse 

  • Roast marshmallows at the campfire 

  • Lend a hand with the animals at the Burnside Ranch 

  • Cook on a woodburning stove 

  • Hammer steel at the Blacksmith 

  • Enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared fresh daily 

  • Perform a play in the Canmore Opera House to wrap up the week! 

Age Groups: 

Campers are grouped by age to ensure everyone has fun, age-appropriate experiences. This camp is perfect for campers aged 12-15.

Home on the Range overnight camp runs from Monday at 9:00 a.m. to Friday at 4:00 p.m.

Rates: 

$630 + GST per camper 

  • Add on a Gluten Free Meal plan for an additional $30 + GST  

Payment:

Full payment is required at time of registration. Visa and Mastercard are accepted online.

 

Email Confirmation:

  • A confirmation of your camp purchase will be sent by the Showpass booking system immediately after registration. If you do not receive your confirmation, please email schools@heritagepark.ca
  • A more detailed camp information package, including behaviour policies, participation waiver and medical form will be sent closer to the start of camp.

 

Costumes:

  • As part of the unique and historical experience of our camps, all campers are loaned a historically accurate costume that must be worn each day of camp.
  • All pieces must be returned and in good condition on the last day of camp or you may be charged a damage fee.

 

Cancellations and Transfers:

  • If you need to cancel your registration, Heritage Park will issue a full refund (minus a $100 administration fee) provided you cancel at least 3 weeks prior to the start of the booked camp. No refunds will be issued after that time.
  • Transfers will be permitted up to two weeks before the start of the camp, subject to availability.
  • We are unable to pro-rate the cost of camp if your child needs to miss any day(s).
  • Heritage Park reserves the right to cancel a camp if minimum registration numbers are not met. In this case, a refund will be provided in full to registrants.
