Description

WHAT IS THE HOCKING HILLS MUSIC FESTIVAL?

HHMF is a collaboration between Nelsonville Music Festival and Duck Creek Log Jam. Our mutual belief is that we can be stronger working together; this concept felt extra-important after a difficult year, when we started dreaming up HHMF in December of 2020. As with most music festivals, both NMF and DCLJ had to cancel our regular June festivals in 2020 and again in 2021.

NMF and DCLJ are bringing our collective experiences to create the new Hocking Hills Music Festival. Because we, as festival producers and music lovers, are attracted to smaller, more intimate festivals, that concept will influence HHMF. We also pride ourselves on presenting great artists that may not yet be common household names. In fact, we may have had a hand in introducing you to some of your favorite artists, such as Caamp (DCLJ - '15, '16, '17, '18, & '19), Billy Strings (DCLJ - '17), Avett Brothers (NMF - '08, '14), Sharon Jones & Dap-Kings (NMF - '10), Brandi Carlile (NMF - '15), Shovels & Rope (NMF - '12, '14), Tyler Childers (DCLJ - '16, NMF - '17, '19) and on and on...

HHMF will span multiple genres, but will lean more towards what is typically found at Duck Creek Log Jam and NMF's Boxcar Stage and No-Fi Cabin. For NMF's Porch Stage die-hard fans, NMF plans to resurrect their other festival spin-off, MELTED, in the future.

HHMF headliners will be well-established national touring artists, appropriately sized for a 1500 capacity festival, and the remainder of the lineup will consist of your next favorite band, national touring acts, regional, and home-grown Ohio artists.

We can't wait to see you in October!
