BJU Hosts: Varna International's Hansel and Gretel

BJU is proud to host Varna International's production of Hansel and Gretel. This external event is not a part of Bob Jones University's Concert, Opera, and Drama Series.

HANSEL AND GRETEL

Presenting Engelbert Humperdinck's interpretation of the classic German fairytale--an opera to delight audiences of all ages. Against a whimsical background of folk songs, two siblings overcome their own foibles to face the darkness of the forest and outwit the schemes of an alluring witch. This highlight of the 2024 Muzika! festival features beautifully staged sets, elaborate period costumes, acclaimed soloists from across the nation, and Maestro Gregory Buchalter of The Metropolitan Opera conducting our festival orchestra.
