Description

Kick off your evening with a night of comedy at the Museum of Vancouver! 

Hosted by Myles Anderson, a rotating lineup of comedians will riff, debate and respond to prompts drawn from the MOV’s collection. Items from the collection will be projected on screen, sparking unexpected stories, humour, and insight into Vancouver’s history. 

Come curious, come early, and start your night with something a little unexpected at the Museum. 

Dates:

  • Saturday, February 28th, 2026 - featuring Charlie Demers & Graham Clark

  • Saturday, March 28th, 2026 - featuring Christine Bortolin & Sophia Johnson

  • Saturday, April 25th, 2026 - featuring Rachel Schaefer & David MacLean

Time: 6:30pm-7:30pm

Location: Museum of Vancouver 

Tickets: 

  • $38 General Admissions

  • $78 Table (includes 2 seats and 2 drink tickets) 

  • (plus fees and taxes) 

Please note seats are available on a first come, first served basis. If you require seats for accessibility, please email programs@museumofvancouver.ca after purchasing your tickets and we will reserve seats for you.

About the Host

Myles Anderson

Myles Anderson (he/him) was featured on the New Wave of Stand Up on CBC Gem and at the 2023–2024 Winnipeg Comedy Festival galas. He is a regular performer on The Debaters on CBC Radio, and he is an irregular employee at the Museum of Vancouver. His special, Myles Per Hour, can be seen on the 800 Pound Gorilla YouTube channel and heard on Sirius XM.

February 28 Comedians

Graham Clark

Whether it’s standup comedy, or co-hosting the popular podcast Stop Podcasting Yourself, when Graham Clark (he/him) is involved it’s one-of-a-kind. Deemed a “national treasure” by the CBC and named one of National Post’s “Eight Extraordinary Canadians,” Graham is a 3-time Canadian Comedy Award winner, writer for The Debaters and a pillar of the Canadian comedy scene. A festival favourite, Graham has appeared multiple times at Just for Laughs in Montreal, was named “Best Headlining Comic” at JFL NorthWest and has toured several celebrated solo shows including the award-winning Graham Clark Reads the Phonebook. In 2024 he was nominated for a Juno for Best Comedy Album. @grahamclarkwastaken

Charlie Demers

Charles “Charlie” Demers (he/him) is a Juno-nominated stand-up comedian, BC Book Prize-nominated author, political speechwriter and communications consultant and co-star of two Emmy-winning Netflix animated series, Beat Bugs and The Last Kids on Earth. One of the stars of CBC Radio’s long-running comedy smash-hit The Debaters, he has also written jokes and speeches for leaders in politics, academia and organized labour. He provides the voice of “Poutine” on Will Arnett’s patriotic superhero send-up Super Team Canada on Crave.

 

March 28 Comedians

Christine Bortolin

Christine is a writer, director, and comedian based in Vancouver, BC. Starting out performing in venues she was too young to legally get into, Christine has produced and performed comedy across North America. She is the local programmer for Just For Laughs VANCOUVER and the booker at the Fox Cabaret. Her directing work plays with the contrasting worlds of subtlety and silliness with a focus on joy and world-building. Coming from an improv background, collaboration is an important part of her directing style throughout the process.

Sophia Johnson

Sophia Johnson is an actor and comedian from New Zealand. You might have seen her on Netflix’s ‘Ash vs the Evil Dead’,  CW’s ‘legends of tomorrow’ and ‘Nancy Drew’. You can hear her on the Just for Laughs originals ‘Best of The West’ album ‘Yee-Haw Hell Yeah’. And See her TV set for the New Wave of Stand Up at Just for Laughs Vancouver on CBC Gem! She also appeared as a guest on TVNZ’s comedy news show ‘The Project’

April 25 Comedians

Rachel Schaefer

She's been a comic staple of the city for years! You may know Rachel from her acting or delightfully nervous stage presence, but many know her as an undefeated Roast Battle Champion of Vancouver. She's a well seasoned performer who's been featured on Just For Laughs, CBC Gem's 'New Wave of Stand Up', & SiriusXM Comedy Club. All you need to know is she has enough embarrassing stories for everyone!

David MacLean

Dave MacLean is a stand-up comedian who has regularly featured at Just For Laughs Vancouver, was a writer for the Canadian satirical magazine the Beaverton, and has an album "Hot and Ready" available to be streamed, downloaded, and consumed on your platform of choice. He has performed on shows with Canadian Comedy Legends Norm MacDonald and Myles Anderson.

Refund Policy

To request a refund and/or cancel your tickets, please email us at programs@museumofvancouver.ca. Your ticket will be refunded if cancelled a minimum of 48 hours before the event, however, customers will still be charged the Showpass ticketing fees. The MOV reserves the right to postpone events if the Museum needs to temporarily suspend operations in the event of closure due to City of Vancouver needs such as power outages or health measures.
