Groovefest

Groovefest is going to get wet and wild, and we can’t wait! 💦🫦 Groovefest is a fun fabulous event that was run by the Gender Empowerment Centre, (previously the Women's Centre) from 1996 until 2004. Doors open at 6:30 and the show goes until 10:00.

Groovefest 2026 blends our feminist variety show with our pleasure play fair, featuring burlesque, drag, comedy, and many other performances. During intermission, explore carnival-style games and pleasure-focused vendors, including local sex shops.
