Join us for an engaging evening focused on improving indoor air quality and learning practical ways to protect your home and family.
We're partnering with the Calgary Regional Airshed Zone (CRAZ) and Alberta Lung to explore the science behind air quality, how wildfire smoke impacts our health, and simple steps you can take to improve the air inside your home. You'll also learn about local resources and programs, including our DIY Home Energy Audit Kits.
Then, roll up your sleeves for a hands-on tutorial where you'll learn how to build an effective, low-cost DIY Air Purifier. These purifiers can help reduce airborne particles from wildfire smoke, as well as dust, pollen, pet dander, and mould spores. We'll demonstrate the highly effective four-filter "box" purifier and provide instructions for a simpler single-filter version.
Whether you're looking to build your own purifier during the workshop or simply learn how, you'll leave with practical knowledge, take-home instructions, and helpful maintenance tips. As an added bonus, all registered attendees will be entered into a draw to win a fully assembled four-filter DIY Air Purifier!
