What is and ITF Challenger?

The challenger series is part of the International Tennis Federation world tour, which is designed to provide opportunities to aspiring professionals beginning their careers, pros trying to improve their world ranking and top junior players. You will be watching some of the best women tennis players and those that will lead the ranks in the future.

Where is the event?

The Abony Family Tennis Center in Fredericton will be hosting the event. This is the first time a women's pro event has been in New Brunswick.

Overview of the Event.

Day matches will start at 11:00 am with three matches being played on three courts. Evening matches start at 6:00 pm. Monday and Tuesday day matches are qualifying matches and are free to attend.

The schedule will look something like this,

Tuesday night opening comments and First-round matches.

Wednesday - Thursday day and evening matches.

Friday 1/4 finals Saturday semi finals and Sunday finals.

Doubles matches will also be played after the singles matches.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Kids 12 and under will have free admittance if accompanied by an adult.
• Juniors 13 - 18 years will be charged $5 for evening matches, the semi finals and finals. Day matches will be free. 

Bleachers will be set up on court for viewing.
