New Works is proud to present, in partnership with Mardon + Mitsuhashi, the full-length world premiere of good loserAn exhilarating duet between a dancer and drummer, this dynamic performance is a highly-physical scored improvisation, where the performers work to stay present to the continuous unfolding moment. From tiny gestures to improvised storytelling and an unbound dance that calls on the unseen, at the heart of this piece is an attempt to stay afloat amongst the compounding effects of global and personal losses: to dedicate themselves to life’s work of becoming a good loser.
