Golloby X Bekhand Comedy

This show is inspired by the interweaving of umami flavours found in a Bakhtiari kabob.

The way the joojeh and chengeh meld together as one leads the thread that binds east and west coast, music and improv into one coherent show. 

Gollaby is a Persian electronic funk band — original music, sung in Farsi, built for a room that wants to move.

Bekhand is a Persian improvised theatre group — unscripted scenes built live, in English, with nothing but a suggestion from the crowd.

Together, they're building a show by Iranian artists, for the whole diaspora — and for anyone who wants to see something genuinely new.

How it goes:
1. Gollaby opens with a live set
2. Bekhand jumps in for fast, music-backed improv games
3. Then: a song sets the scene, the audience gives one suggestion, and Bekhand builds a full improvised story live — in real time, never to be repeated
