GIRAF21 SHORTS: POTATOES AND KINGS

 

Join us for an evening to celebrate Ukrainian animation with Potatoes and Kings: Folk, Political and Absurd in Ukrainian Animation

This retrospective, programmed by the Ukrainian State Film Agency in Kyiv, features wives trading their husbands, aquatic monsters, astronomical legends, and the love and death of the ordinary potato. 

Presented by QAS in partnership with Ottawa International Animation Festival, LINOLEUM Contemporary Animation and Media Art Festival, and the Dovzhenko centre. Special thanks to Chris Robinson and Anastasiya Verlinska
