GIRAF19 FEATURES: SCAVENGER'S REIGN

Enter the world of Scavenger’s Reign: one of the most imaginative, artful, and stunning contemporary science fiction works released in recent memory. Animation fans are no doubt drooling over the fact that this sumptuous series is being released as a 12-parts with over a 4 hour total runtime. At GIRAF 19, we are excited to present the first 2 episodes of this landmark HBO MAX streaming series with a special presentation from creators Sean Buckelew and Joseph Bennett calling in live via zoom preceding the screening. 

It doesn’t take a deep dive into the credits to understand why this show has been such a smashing success since its American release on October 19th. The impressive creators lineup includes Joseph Bennett (Odin’s After Birth, Scavengers), Benjy Brooke (Power Hungry, The Strokes - At The Door), James Merrill (King Star King, The Eric Andre Show), Charles Huettner (Scavengers, Swap Meet), Caleb Wood (GIRAF 12 Visiting Artist), and Sean Buckelew (Drone, Scavengers, GIRAF 13 Visiting Artist). 

This is a presentation tailor made for fans of Nausicaa in the Valley of the Wind, Moebius, slime mold, thrillers, and Rube Goldberg machines made out of aliens (The Hollywood Reporter).
