The Atlantic Canada Palestinian Society (ACPS) was founded in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 2018. The mission of ACPS is to support and promote Palestinian culture while providing aid to those in need. It was established to create a sense of community and solidarity among Palestinians in the Atlantic Canada region. Since its inception, ACPS has expanded to include two more chapters: one in Saint John, New Brunswick, and the other in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
ACPS has been running fundraising campaigns since 2018. We have annual Ramadan food Parcel and food parcels for families during the war which we covered since 2018 approximately 900 families and counting. Eid clothes campaigns for needy families and their children, and a back-to-school campaign for students from these families for almost 300 kids . We also have the "Rebuild One House at a Time" project with wich we were able to accomplish rebuild 5 houses , and so far we offered university scholarships for 4 outstanding students who need help with tuition fees.
We work with a group of trusted volunteers on the ground in Gaza and have been doing so for the past five years. We provide photos from all our campaigns, and 100% of the funds go directly to needy families, as all our work is voluntary, with no deductions for administration fees or salaries. We aim to continue our relief work and help as many people as possible.
