Attention, ghosts and goblins! Come embrace the Halloween spirit and enjoy the Ghouls’ Night Out bash! Round up your family, don your favourite costumes and get ready for a spook-tacular evening for all ages.

Escape Annual Membership Holders and Heritage Club members do not receive a discount on this event. 

Spooktacular Family Activities

We have tons of brand-NEW activities for you and your family to enjoy including a brand new spooky walk-through, new characters in Halloween Town & the Monster Recovery Center. And returning in 2023, after a brief stint in the brig, is a captain you most certainly have heard of.

● Tea in the Rabbit Hole
Come for a tea party and meet your favourite characters in the Rabbit Hole at the Repsol Heritage Education Centre (Burns Barn)!
● Sanderson Sisters’ Flying Academy
Take to the sky at the Sanderson Sisters' Flying Academy!
● Pumpkin Patch
Meet the local heckling scarecrow in our Pumpkin Patch!
● Halloween Crafts
Enjoy fun family crafts at Innovation Crossing!
● Carnival Games & Photos
Play fantastical Carnival games and take pictures at the Chautauqua Tent!
● Monster Operation
Keep a steady hand as you play a monster-sized version of Operation!
● Halloween Town Cookie Decorating
Decorate your very own hauntingly delicious Halloween cookies and meet the local characters of Halloween Town.
● Scary Storytelling
Listen, if you dare, to terrifying tales in the Canmore Opera House!

The Game of Love After Life – A Bachelorette Game Show (20min)

Venue - Canmore Opera House 

The year is 1937, We meet our hero CHARLES “Charlie Horse” Bones, a recently deceased well-to-do British jazz singer who tragically died before he could marry the love of his life. Enter Virgil The Magic Matchmaking Mirror! The underworld’s leading expert in making matches that last all eternity.

Virgil helps convince Charles to come on to Virgil’s show “The Game of Love Afterlife”, where he will meet three stunningly spooky bachelorettes in a gameshow with twists, turns, gags, thrills, and chills! Will Charles find his happy ever afterlife?

Still Ghoul Hunting (10 min)

Venue - the Prince House 

The ghoul hunters are back in town investigating paranormal activity and encounter the Ghost of the Lady in White at the Prince House.

The Monsters Retirement Home

Venue - Famous 5 House

Gothic Wendy is working as a nurse for retired Monsters dealing with ailements of the afterlife. Come see and participate in the comings and goings, including Calasyenitics and perhaps an encounter with her mysterious cousin Att.

The Further Adventures of Dr. Franklin and the Monster (15 min)

Venue – Wing Chong Laundry 

 A new vignette is currently being developed involving mad scientist Dr. Franklin and her Monster.

A Pirate Captain’s Sword Fight Vignette

 Witness a breathtaking showdown of flashing steel as the Pirate Captain engages in a high-stakes sword fight for honor and treasure.

Monsterish Meet-and-Greets

Wander throughout the Park to meet and snap a photo with beloved characters!

Is Ghouls’ Night Out too scary for young children?

Absolutely not! Ghouls’ Night Out is geared towards families, so it won’t be too spooky for young children! Of course, every child is different, so keep your little one’s fright tolerance in mind.

Where in Heritage Park does the event take place?

Ghouls’ Night Out takes place throughout Heritage Park, both indoors and outdoors.

Is parking included?

Parking is not included in the ticket prices, but it is available at the Park. If you’re an Escape Annual Membership holder or a Heritage Club member, parking at Heritage Park is free!

What’s the plan for inclement weather?

Ghouls’ Night Out will go ahead rain or shine, so dress accordingly! Some of the programming at Ghouls’ Night Out will be weather-dependent.

What should I wear and bring to the event?

We encourage you to get all decked out in your Halloween costume for Ghouls’ Night Out! Please make sure you dress for the weather and wear a good pair of walking shoes, as there are several different types of terrain throughout Heritage Park. Bring a flashlight, as this event will take place in the evening, and consider a stroller or wagon for your little ones as there’s a lot of ground to cover!
