Feature Film Screening: Hannu’s connection to nature surpasses most, with the elusive lynx having bitten into his heart – so much so that he claims to be able to speak their language. Hauntingly beautiful footage captured by hidden cameras throughout the forest, paints an unforgettable twilight picture of the natural world, and our role to play in its care and protection.
When a dead lynx turns up in his forest, Hannu dons an animal mask, crawls down on all fours and sniffs out the mystery through the mire and thicket. Quirky and creative, with an immersive soundscape, director Juha Suonpää brings viewers on a journey of discovery and connection as we get to understand the lynx through the eyes of one of the animal’s more ardent protectors.
