Our Indie Animation Mixtapes represent what the festival Programming Committee deems to be the year’s most astounding, inventive, beautiful, mind-altering and unexpected animated films out there.

On Side A: Reborn With You presents some of the most sensational animated illustrations our committee has ever seen, Three Birds transcends to the quiet inner world within a forgotten folktale, and Free the Chickens is a comedic-riot answering the question of just what happens when a vegan liberation mission goes wrong?

There's no denying that in 2024 animators were also looking around the globe and thinking about the hardships of war; The stunning paint on glass film, Butterfly, and the mixed media stopmotion animation Father’s Letters eloquently shares perspectives on current divisive political conflicts.
