We are a fun, funky, award-winning band playing in and around Vancouver, BC. Our mission is to keep the dance floor hopping with a familiar collection of classic funk, motown, and disco, 80's pop, and current top-40 selections. Come on out and join the party.

The Break is an original, Alt-Rock act based in Vancouver and formed in 2015. The Break is made up of guitarist and vocalist brothers Jamie and Rory MacKay and drummer and vocalist Ryan Grohn. The band mixes hard rock roots with acoustic song-writing prowess and an oozing of creativity and collaboration to create their diverse sound. Their songs have been described as “country-fried rock”, “hard rock opera”, “rock n’ pop with a bite”. The Break has two unique lead vocalists and song-writers, a multi-dimensional drummer and numerous guest band members.
