Edmonton Winds Presents: The Songs of Place

The Edmonton Winds, under the direction of Raymond Baril, is proud to present "The Songs of Place" as the first in their 2026-27 Mainstage concert series.

This musical adventure brings to life the distinct sounds of diverse locales, capturing the unique spirit, folklore, and history of the places that define us.

The world premiere performance of Kairosaēris by emerging local composer Jacob Tran (2025 David Erdmann Scholarship recipient) caps the program, while classics like Shenandoah (Thomas), Suite Française (Milhaud)and Paprikash (Giroux) take you around the world and ensure that there is something for everyone.
