REAL SICKIES

Formed in Edmonton in 2014, Real Sickies have spent the last decade proving themselves as one of Canada’s most infectious pop-punk bands. Blending catchy hooks, punchy melodies, and high-energy performances, they’ve built a reputation through relentless touring and sharing stages with artists including Stiff Little Fingers, Subhumans UK, The Real McKenzies, Chixdiggit, Mean Jeans, Ten Foot Pole, and 88 Fingers Louie.

The band’s journey hasn’t been without setbacks. Frontman Ben Disaster underwent major spinal surgery, while founding members departed, but Real Sickies emerged stronger than ever, releasing their debut full-length Get Well Soon before hitting the road across Canada. They followed it with Out of Space, a turbocharged collection of infectious pop-punk anthems, and later Love Is for Lovers, their most ambitious release to date. Recorded at Physics Lab Studios in Edmonton, the album showcased a leap in songwriting, blending Ramones-inspired urgency with melodic power-pop influences and featuring guest appearances from Dave Bacon (SNFU) and Lucette.

Known for their infectious live shows and undeniable hooks, Real Sickies continue to evolve while staying true to their punk roots. Whether on record or on stage, the band delivers fast, melodic songs packed with heart, humor, and enough singalong choruses to leave audiences happily infected.
