Life Drawing Series: Body Positivity, Diversity, & Inclusivity (Fall Pass)

• Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  
• Cost: $280 (8 sessions)
• Location: Maplewood House, 399 Seymour River Pl, North Vancouver BC

What to Expect

• Practice your life drawing skills in a friendly, non-competitive environment.
• Each session features professional nude models, with a focus on diversity in age, gender, and body shape.
  This group welcomes both beginner and experienced artists.
  The Fall Pass includes access to 8 sessions over the fall period. Sessions take place biweekly (every other) Sunday.
• Each session is 2 hours long, with a short break midway. 
• Participants will have the opportunity to practice drawing several short poses and 2 long poses.
• Short warm-up poses (1–2 minutes)
• Longer poses (5–25 minutes)
• This is a facilitated class, not an instructed class.
  
  

Skills you’ll develop:

• Confidence working with a nude model
• Gesture and quick-capture drawing
• Form-building
• Ability to draw and appreciate a wide range of body types

• Students who can work independently
• Artists who enjoy practicing for extended periods
• Anyone looking to connect with the local life drawing community
  
  

What to Bring

We provide chairs and easels.

Please bring:

• Your own drawing materials, paper, and drawing board (Artists typically use pencils, charcoal, ink, pastels, or watercolour. Poses are too short for acrylic or oil painting).
• Your own drinks and snacks (there’s a 15-minute break midway)
