FANTASY-FOLK / ACID FOLK

Headliners: Langan Frost & Wane is Medieval hippy music (think Donovan and The Incredible String Band with a touch of Ennio Morricone). The Philadelphia trio is comprised of seasoned songwriters and multi- instrumentalists Brian Langan, RJ Gilligan (Frost), and Nam Wayne (Wane). They use prominent vocal harmonies, fingerpicking guitar, acoustic instruments from across the globe and a kaleidoscopic psych-rock sensibility to make music that flashes from fun and flowery to ominous and arcane. Championed by premier genre authorities like Shindig!, Prog, and Glide Magazine, Langan, Frost & Wane have quickly established themselves as leading lights in the psychedelic folk renaissance. They have gained the attention of like-minded rock iconoclasts such as Justin Hawkins of The Darkness and Russell Higbee of Modest Mouse, the latter of whom can be heard playing harp on their upcoming album, Tomorrow for a Stone, soon to be released on Goldstar Recordings.

Supporting: Na’Bodach (broad Scots for "not old men”) have been playing Celtic music for 20 years. The band has been through personnel changes over the years and they are presently in their finest formation. Based in the Bucks, Hunterdon area their approach to the music has remained the same. They “nabodicize” traditional tunes and songs by incorporating modern rhythms, styles, and instrumentation. Their goal is to keep the ancient music fresh and accessible to modern audiences.
