Comedy for a Cause for the Food Bank presesented by Teresa May & PBI

Get ready for a huge night of laughter in support of the Central Okanagan Food Bank!

Kelowna Comedy is proud to welcome Akeem Hoyte-Charles, a commanding live performer known for his fearless crowd work and ability to turn every show into something unpredictable, electric and completely in the moment.

Raised just outside Montreal by his Trinidadian mother, Akeem has entertained audiences across North America and Europe. He has recorded with Just For Laughs Originals and appeared on major platforms including The CW, Hulu and Disney+.

This special Comedy for a Cause event is proudly presented by local businesswoman and 2026 Kelowna City Council candidate Teresa May, together with the Prefab Buildings Initiative.

The Prefab Buildings Initiative is a national strategy bringing together construction leaders, government partners and manufacturers to advance high-performance prefabricated building systems. Through precision manufacturing, modular components and collaborative design, PBI is helping make Canadian construction faster, more cost-effective, sustainable and scalable.

After decades of involvement with local businesses, volunteer leadership and community organizations, Teresa is running on a commitment to safer neighbourhoods, responsible growth and stronger support for Kelowna’s businesses, families and seniors.

The evening will also feature a silent auction, giving guests another opportunity to support the cause while bidding on some fantastic items.

Proceeds from the event will go toward the Central Okanagan Food Bank, helping provide food and essential support to people throughout our region. Come enjoy an incredible night of comedy, take part in the silent auction and help make a meaningful difference in our community!
