The 25th Anniversary Commemoration Service will be the centrepiece of Gander’s September 11 anniversary observances, bringing together survivors, family members, “Plane People,” volunteers, first responders, military representatives, dignitaries, and members of the public to remember those we lost and reflect on the enduring legacy of September 11, 2001.

Guided by three powerful themes — Remember. Honour. Commemorate. — the service will feature music, personal reflections, tributes, and ceremonial elements.

Together, we will remember the lives lost, honour those who responded and served, and commemorate the extraordinary compassion shown by the people of Gander and surrounding communities during Operation Yellow Ribbon. Most importantly, we will reflect on the lasting bonds of friendship, kindness, and hope that emerged from one of history’s darkest days.

Please Note: As the service will be televised LIVE, all members of the general public must be seated in their assigned seats by 1:35 p.m.
