Sarah Ellis's wife had been toughing it out with multiple sclerosis for more than a decade when she finally received a date for a medically assisted death in Switzerland. In My Year in Fairyland, Ellis, a celebrated children's book author, shares an unforgettable memoir about the year of waiting for the appointed date—a year filled with astonishing moments of playfulness and joy, followed by searing grief, and abiding love. Bill Richardson, who called the book “its own kind of miracle,” interviews Ellis about her journey and what has come after, in this tender and intimate event.
