An aspir­ing archivist takes up residence in the Italian countryside, becoming the assistant to the defiantly youthful, 92-year-old Baronessa, owner of a wondrous villa filled with art and antiques. Their utterly charming adventures unfold under the Tuscan sun in Pulitzer Prize-winning author Andrew Sean Greer’s Villa Coco, coloured with an endless stream of visitors, some love conundrums, and all the delights of la dolce vita. Greer himself moved from America to Italy a decade ago, and his book—and this charismatic conversation—will transport readers into an Italian summer, while offering vital reflections on how to live a meaningful life at any age.
