Whether you’re a first-year student settling into your very first rental, or a returning student who’s been renting for a while—this workshop is for you.
Join us for Food 4 Thought: Know Your Rights – Renting in BC 101, a practical and empowering workshop hosted by your Students’ Union. In partnership with Together Against Poverty Society (TAPS), this session is designed for students who are already renting and want to better understand their rights and responsibilities in BC’s rental system.
You’ll learn about:
How to deal with landlord issues
Conducting condition inspections
Getting your damage deposit back
Key local resources for renters in Nanaimo
Enjoy a free catered lunch while gaining real-world knowledge you can use throughout your tenancy. Please let us know about any allergies or dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
