BLOT | Action at a Distance & Tangaj Collective

A social choreography of our microbiome.

BLOT proposes a series of performative situations that explore movement in relation to the bacteria in our body. Bringing together biology, dance, and visual arts sensibilities, the show aims to rethink the body as an interconnected system, which is both strong and fragile at the same time. The body is stripped of the social meanings determined by language and redefines itself through a continuous dialogue about coexistence. The two artists work on stage with seemingly invisible connections, but without which the human body could not function..

Drawn Below | Ashley Mae Johnston

I realize my body tightens with anger when I think about what society has done to women. Water rising inside my chest, my head floating away from myself. I am linear. I am rigid. Pulsing energy is contained just outside my body. It is stuck. Drawn Below is a practice and experiment of leaning into the pulse and feeling the waves inside me.

The ocean is a terrifying, yet beautiful place.

An Urge. A duet with a jacket, or maybe a ghost. Playing with gesture, instinct, and physical memory, revealing what lives in the body. The jacket dances, conjuring up images of a ghost or the fragments left behind by someone no longer with us.

Rock Me Real | Sylvie Moquin

Rock Me Real is a raw solo tracing the shifting terrain of early motherhood—where days blur, identity unravels, and the body is asked to hold all. Through bold, exposed movement, I cradle grief and joy, solitude and renewal, carrying them forward in soft defiance.
