Early 80's San Francisco Punk Rock! - FLIPPER, one of history's most in-your-face outfits. Although not hardcore kids, these SF Punk vets with former members of Negative Trend & The Offs made their name playing to HC crowds. The band formed in 1979, continuing in often erratic fashion until the mid-1990s, then reuniting in 2005. The band influenced a number of grunge, punk rock, and noise rock bands. Their bass-driven and heavily distorted style of punk is also considered a key forerunner to sludge, and influenced bands such as the Melvins and Nirvana, whose bass player Krist Novoselic played with the band in the 2000's.

The one and only! David Yow is an American musician, born in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is best known as the vocalist for the noise rock bands Scratch Acid and The Jesus Lizard.
