Description

Dakota. A given name derived from the name of the indigenous Native American Dakota people. “It means Friend or Ally and it couldn’t have been more fitting for my best friend of almost 13 years.” Brad says. Dakota took his own life in January of 2021.

Suicide is the second leading cause of death for youth and young adults (15-34 years). In Alberta, on average we lose 550 amazing humans every year.

Just two days before Blue Monday -  on January 15th, join us at King Eddy in Calgary as we celebrate each other and stand together for Suicide Prevention.

Proudly sponsored by the Thumbs Up Foundation, all proceeds will be going to Distress Centre Calgary.

About Flaysher
Based on the last name of two “born and raised” Albertan brothers, Flaysher is a CMAB Award-nominated Canadian country duo with grit in their blood harmonies and unvarnished truths in their lyrics. Flaysher is known for high-energy live performances before humbly stepping off the stage to genuinely connect with everyone in the room. You just can’t help but feel the passion these two brothers have for lifting people up with their art.

About As High As We Go
Powered by creative songwriting, skilled instrumentation, and beautifully blended harmonies, As High As We Go is a Calgary-based country duo to watch. Their latest single "Be Still (My Beating Heart)’ is available on all streaming platforms.

Sound production equipment for the King Eddy is provided by PK Sound and Yamaha.
