FISHTANK launched in 2025, alongside the reopening of Toronto’s Boutique, as monthly party showcasing the best up and coming Toronto queer house DJs as well as many classic ones who helped create scene. Now in 2026, Fishtank relaunches at buddies as a full scale event! With residents Prince Batrick + Delicious + LArA at the helm, Fishtank explores the history of gay house music ranging from handbag house, Latin house and tribal house all the way to ballroom and circuit. This goal is to cultivate an environment reminiscent of clubs such as Sound Factory and Twilo as well as old school style circuit parties. Joining as headliners for this relaunch is Michael Magnan from New York (Battle Hymn Resident) and LEGENDARY DJ Black Cat from Toronto. Come early, and make sure to stay late for at 2:30, when Fishtank becomes Fishtank-after-Dark, with amore moody, sexy house gay house sound to finish the night all the way to our extended 4 am last call. Are you ready to get wet? Come swim with us.

Like its ambisextrous namesake, Buddies’ in-house bar and performance space Tallulah’s Cabaret does it all. It’s throbbing club nights and community tap dance lessons. High-concept drag and low-stakes open mics. Go for pre-drinks but stay late for the post-show discourse—maybe even spark that next collaboration. With local brews and sober options that aren’t an after-thought, Tallulah’s is the come-as-you-are bar for old friends, new lovers, partiers, poets, and curious passerby. See you under the chandeliers.
