Since then, she has taught classes in different musical styles, promoting dance and physical activity as essential elements for the well-being of mind and body. Currently, Pierina is part of the Blanca and Claudio team, where she contributes to spreading Latin culture through music and dance in Sudbury.
Blanca, a Spanish teacher from Chile, arrived in Sudbury in late 2021. Since then, she has immersed herself in the local arts scene, through her involvement in the musical Cabaret, Jesus Christ Superstar, teaching dance classes, and performing with Pachamama Folkloric Dance—a group dedicated to celebrating her cultural heritage through dance. In September 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury honored Blanca and her family with the “Greater Together” award, recognizing their contributions to the arts community.
Jorge Martínez, a 35-year-old Colombian, has been passionate about percussion since childhood, inspired by his grandfather and cousin. Starting in his church band at 12, he mastered various percussion instruments across genres like salsa, gospel, and merengue, while also exploring jazz and blues. He has performed at major events, including the "Birthday of Jesus" in 2009 and 2010, and later experimented with secular music in hardcore styles. Since moving to Canada two years ago, Jorge has pursued his dream of building a community that celebrates Latin culture. In Sudbury, he joined forces with another Colombian, also named Jorge, and a Chilean named Claudio, forming a musical group that has become a popular feature at local events, warmly embraced by the community.
Jorge (AKA Camaleón), is a skilled percussionist specializing in bell, bongó, güiro, güira, and maracas. From 2019 to 2023, he was a member of Sabor 19, a ten-piece salsa orchestra with a repertoire rooted in salsa and cumbia. Sabor 19 became a prominent name in Montreal’s Latin music scene, performing over 33 concerts across Montreal and Quebec. In 2022, the group began creating original compositions, driven by a mission to spread joy, warmth, and the vibrant energy of Latin music. Now based in Canada, “Jorge el Camaleón” collaborates with Claudio Sudbury’s musical project. In 2024, he performed at notable events like Le RibFest and Canada Day at Bell Park, helping bring Latin culture and rhythm to new audiences.
Claudio Peralta, originally from Chile, is an Industrial Engineer and HVAC Technician. Since moving to Sudbury in 2021, he has immersed himself in the local arts scene, taking on roles in musicals such as RENT, ABBA Gold, and Jesus Christ Superstar. He also brings his Latin heritage to life by performing Latin music as both a vocalist and percussionist. In September 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury recognized Claudio and his family with the “Greater Together” award for their contributions to the arts. In 2024, Claudio felt fortunate to find the “Jorges" and make his latin project, performing at major events like Canada Day and Ribfest. He is deeply appreciative of Blanca, Jheymy, and Pierina, whose dancing adds vibrancy to the upcoming third edition of SPG Latin Party.

Join Dominica as she shares her soul through song, creating unforgettable moments that resonate long after the music fades.
Francisco (aka “DJ Fran Moreno”), a 36 year old Ecuadorian, began his journey as a DJ in high school in Quito, Ecuador, when a friend introduced him to the world of mixing music. Immediately captivated, he started by playing at high school and house parties, quickly discovering a natural talent and passion for DJing. A few years later, he took his skills to the next level by performing in various dance clubs across Quito. His unique style and energy drew attention, leading to invitations to perform at Latin festivals in other cities around Ecuador. These experiences helped him connect deeply with the Latin music scene, building a reputation for his vibrant, crowd-moving performances. Now living in Canada, he’s eager to share this passion with the Latin American community in Sudbury. Seeing this new environment as a chance to connect with people who share his culture, he envisions creating a familiar yet fresh music experience that resonates with those who appreciate his sound. With his extensive background in clubs and festivals, he aims to bring joy and unity to the community, bridging cultures through his music and creating a celebration of shared roots.
Isa & Dani:
Isabel grew up listening to Latin American Pop and Rock during the 80’s and 90’s. Always in love with singing, she joined her school choir and music ensemble, and has never stopped singing along to her favorite music ever since. Although she didn’t pursue singing as a career, during this last year she finally decided to hit the stage and sing some of her favorite songs accompanied by her husband on guitar. Daniel is a professional musician from Bogotá, Colombia. He has devoted most of his life to playing guitar, and has had the fortune of playing for many artists from his home country, as well as with original bands. This has led him to perform in some of Colombia’s most iconic and important venues, as well as in local and international music festivals. Since he relocated to Sudbury with his wife Isabel and family, he has been playing with his band ReVolt, as well as with this duo you're about to witness.
Isa & Dani started as a family project that the couple created to keep in contact with the music that they grew up listening in their home country Colombia. Once they started singing at home just to have fun and relax, they discovered that they really enjoyed the music and wanted to share it with a wider audience. They have had performances at the Northern Latin Congress in 2023, at the Her Northern Voice Festival 2024, and at the Colombia National Day Celebration in 2024. Today they go on stage again as part of this great celebration of Latin Heritage in Sudbury.
