FGSU GenOne Conference

This is an event run by FGSU that advocates for equity and inclusion in higher education, specifically for students who are among the first in their families to attend university. This one-day conference will feature the theme ‘Pave the way’ which will be interpreted through workshops hosted by both our students and by community partners to dissect the theme through the lens of inclusion, justice and impact.

This conference will have a low-barrier policy allowing for those students who identify as FGLI to either have a free admission to the conference or to make an optional donation to low-income student support charities in Canada through the Impact Portfolio. However, for attendees who do not identify as FGLI, there will be a $20 admission ticket for the conference.
