Festival of the Grape 2019

Fall Festival Weekend is on its way!

Plan for the whole family to join the fun at Oliver's most anticipated event of the year. Some of the festivities include more than 50 wineries on site, a pop-up wine store, large merchant market, kids zone, food trucks and the Fall Art Show & Sale.

Festival of the Grape is hosted by Oliver Tourism Association with the help of a dedicated committee and a team of volunteers who contribute to making Festival of the Grape the most well-attended outdoor wine festival event in the Okanagan. Attracting an estimated 4,500 attendees annually this family-friendly, one-day festival offers something for everyone. Start with wine tastings at one of more than 50 BC wineries, cheer on one of the teams in the Grape Stomp, rock out to the music of Jack and Jill, dine at one of more than a dozen food trucks and shop at the Merchant Market or the Fall Art Show & Sale.

And, for little ones, there’s an interactive Kids Zone.

The Festival of the Grape begins at 12 pm with a parade and welcome ceremony, where participating wineries arrive waiving their banners high, grape stomp competitors start to show off their costumes and dignitaries from the region welcome you to the Town of Oliver and the traditional Okanagan Nation territory, followed by Bacchus officially announces the opening of the wine tasting tents at 1 pm.

After Bacchus’s welcome, start exploring the Festival grounds - enjoy the costume judging at the Grape Stomp stage prior to the first heat, stroll the Merchant Market looking for unique-artisan wares, visit one of the many food trucks for great bites, and sample from the cornucopia of BC wines. At the same time the kids are encouraged to visit the Kids Zone with interactive games, crafts and inflatables to keep them entertained too.

Jack and Jill will keep the party going until 5pm, when the festival winds down. Fear not, as you'll still be able to grab some bottles to go as you leave through the On-Site Liquor Store! 

NEW FOR 2019! 

The VIP ticket is an excellent choice! This allows you early entry to the Festival of the Grape, complimentary snacks and beverages, designated seating and easy access to both the festival entertainment and the Grape Stomp, and - something we are particularly excited about this year - a series of presentations by area experts on topics that include wine tastings, food pairings, wine glass selection and more! This will be a very immersive experience with local winery owners and select guests to the Festival! Note, the VIP ticket is for Festival of the Grape only; tickets to Cask and Keg are separate.
