Synopsis: Anna finds herself on the street after being evicted from her apartment. At the same time, she learns that her son, Jason, whom she had to abandon 20 years ago, wants to reconnect with her. He arranged to meet her in a small café in Moncton, but she didn't have the strength to hold his gaze and answer all his questions. She then takes refuge, clandestinely, in the basement of the opulent house of an elderly couple. A dramatic event will turn everything upside down and force Anna to forge a bond with Victorine, the owner of the place. The strange friendship of the two women will help them face their own demons.

Il lui donne rendez-vous dans un petit café de Moncton, mais celle-ci n'a pas la force de tenir son regard et répondre à toutes ses questions. Elle se réfugie alors, clandestinement, au sous-sol de la maison cossue d'un couple âgé. Un événement dramatique viendra tout chambouler et forcera Anna à tisser des liens avec Victorine, la propriétaire des lieux. L'étrange amitié des deux femmes les aidera à affronter leurs propres démons.
