Feast of St. Lawrence - DINNER UNDER THE STARS

The St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood in Old Town Toronto has been a food destination since before this city was established.  This legacy continues today at the world famous St. Lawrence Market and in more than 150 local restaurants, bistros and bars in the area offering cuisine from around the world.

The Feast of St. Lawrence celebrates this downtown neighbourhood's rich food history with an exciting 2 day festival on August 9-10, 2019.  Named in honour of the patron saint of cooks and the poor, the event begins in spectacular fashion with an exclusive dinner for charity.  Dinner Under the Stars brings together the chefs from 8 top local restaurants who prepare a delicious 6 course dinner for 250 guests seated at 2 continuous tables under a 300 foot tent on Front Street.  This unique event is a feast for the senses with wines from 11 Niagara vineyards, beer offerings from Creemore Springs Brewery and a whisky bar.  An 18 piece jazz band provides the musical ambiance and a part of Berczy Park will be transformed into reception area.  A portion of each ticket sold will be donated to Second Harvest, Canada's largest food rescue organization and a global leader in food recovery.

The Feast of St. Lawrence is presented by the St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood BIA.  Dinner Under the Stars is sponsored by Audi Downtown Toronto. Participating restaurants include Batch, Cantina Mercatto, Cirillo's Academy, CC Lounge, Farmr, George Brown Chef School, Hawthorne Food + Drink, Hot House, Mangia e Bevi, Cafe Nicole in Novotel Toronto Centre, Omni King Edward and Pearl Diver.
