Description
Join us for an evening of live music featuring Quebec-born Calgary-based singer/songwriter Emily Triggs. Her style can best be described as a blend of folk, folk-rock and Canadiana/Americana. She loves to introduce new sounds into folk music, adding new elements that make the experience very creative and fun.
Roots Music Canada‘s Leslie Alexander described Emily's music as, “a listening experience that creeps up on you like warmth after a winter chill. The contrast between light and shadow, vulnerability and strength, as well as hope and despair infuse this work with a maturity and depth that speaks of a life well-lived.” As a songwriter, Emily maintains a simple philosophy: all of life’s experiences, for better or worse, can be mined for the raw materials of a good song. She'll be joined on stage by Brady Enslen and Jason Valleau.
Doors open at 7 pm with the show getting underway at 7:30 pm. There will be limited bar service available, and all ages are welcome to attend. Debit, credit and cash are all accepted.
The elevator is a great venue for music, but it is an unheated agricultural building, so come prepared with a layer or two to add if it gets chilly. Looking forward to seeing you there!
