The Essa National Draft Horse Show is a premier showcase of strength, skill, and tradition that celebrates the power and beauty of draft horses. Held annually at the Essa Agriplex, the event draws competitors and spectators from across Canada and beyond to witness impressive hitches, precision driving classes, and breed showcases featuring magnificent horses such as Belgians, Percherons, and Clydesdales.
Known for its welcoming atmosphere and high-quality competition, the show highlights agricultural heritage while providing an exciting, family-friendly experience that honors the enduring partnership between humans and working horses.
As well we are welcoming the Barrie Kennel & Obedience Club Kennel August 1st to 3rd, 2026!
Their Annual Conformation Dog Show is Historically held on the Civic Holiday Weekend every year at the Essa Agriplex!

Refund Policy
Refund Policy: Tickets for the Barrie Fair, Spring Showdown, and Essa National Draft Horse Show are non-refundable. All events are rain or shine. Refunds will ONLY be issued if the event is fully cancelled by the organizer/organization. All approved refunds are subjected to a $2.50CAD administration fee. Refund requests MUST be submitted in writing prior to the event date. No refunds for missed attendance, weather, scheduling conflicts, and/or personal circumstances.
