She is excited to bring the Album Release of "Pretty Strange" back home to Saskatchewan, and will be in Saskatoon, Sk at The Capitol on June 9th,. The writing of the album occurred in January - May in both Saskatchewan and Nashville, and concluded on May 5th when “Pretty Strange” was recorded live in Nashville, TN.

“Pretty Strange” is a 10 track collection of bangers captured live at Sidekick Studios in Nashville, TN on May 4th, 2022. Set to be released in March 2023, it summarizes Doyle’s progression as an artist by framing her unique and catchy, melody driven songwriting style in the context of an exciting alt- country/folk sound. With driving banjo, guitar and pedal steel licks throughout to keep the listener engaged and eager to discover each track, her fresh take on the Americana genre will be a welcomed addition to the scene.

ALBUM REVIEWS

Her authentic banjo playing and unique songwriting is evidently displayed in all her songs. Her vocals have a raw, emotional quality that captivates listeners, and she has a talent for composing melodies that are both memorable and original. Her lyrics are catchy and melody driven a refreshing listen. Listening to the songs on the album one could literally taste the sweat and effort she had to put into each song to make them come out this nice.-Music Arena, March 2023

Eliza Mary Doyle‘s latest album, Pretty Strange is a masterful work of Americana that showcases the Saskatchewan native’s remarkable songwriting abilities and skillful instrumentation. With a career spanning over two decades, Doyle delivers 10 tracks of alt-country/folk tunes that are both raw and soulful, and effortlessly weave together her deep musical roots with contemporary sensibilities.- Sinusoidal, March 2023

The Waverley Pickers are a cosmic country sisterhood formed by one of Canada's most naturally gifted artists and ex-barrel racers: the one and only 𝗞𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 of Juno-nominated folk-duo 𝗞𝗮𝗰𝘆 & 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘁𝗼𝗻. Hailing from the absurdly isolated Rural Municipality of Waverley No. 44 in Southern Saskatchewan, Canada (population, 422), the ensemble is supremely connected to the fountainhead of great country music and is known to dabble in astral travel.
