Elisa Thorn

Celebrating the release of her album xiik, harpist Elisa Thorn laughingly classifies it as “experimental folk for the bathtub.” Reflecting on her trajectory from classical to contemporary music, she says “as much as I roll my eyes at the angelic/mythical/feminine reputation the harp has, generosity is important to me in music making. My hope is for the listener to feel held in some way- which means sometimes it does sound magical and dreamy. That being said, I think the harp can be a total boss, and that's why I love it.”

Hannah Epperson 

With early ties to the American Southwest and Canada's Pacific coast, Hannah Epperson first heard music and stories as a traveler between high mountain desert and ocean shores. Her music draws from a life of listening and play inspired by musicians and artists across a wide range of genres.

We practice the policy NOTAFLOF specifically to allow access to folks negatively impacted by gentrification projects within the DTES community. If you are a student or low income worker, please consider saving up for the next show as the artists and KW staff are also low income workers.

Show go generally not much later than 12pm. Doors close and no admittance after 11:45pm or so.

KW Studios is an accessible venue. Folks in need of an elevator can access one through the lobby entrance. Accessible bathrooms are available downstairs. KW events are both auditory and visual. Sound can be loud, but earplugs can be provided free of charge. Lighting is generally lower but can be adjusted and raised to accommodate people who need brighter venues.
