Ecos del Oriente: An Evening of Flamenco Tradition and Fusion

Join us for an evening of Flamenco music and dance, infused with the rich and captivating sounds of the Middle East. Experience the intense footwork and expressive gestures of flamenco and the mesmerizing rhythms and delicate melodies of the Santur in this unique and immersive cultural journey.

Ecos del Oriente brings together a lineup of talented artists promising a vibrant performance. Back from Spain, dancer/singer Annette Morcos will be joined by guest flamenco guitarist Jake "El Chinito", and Iranian composer and Santur player Bijan Maysami, as well as dancers Anastassiia Alexander and Jessica Peñalver-Côté, and singer Antonia Velázquez.

This event will offer a food service with a set tapas menu. The food will be catered and provided on a pre-order basis.  Please see the details below.

Doors open: at 5:30 pm (Note: Food services will be started at 6:15 pm for those that opt for it)

Tapas details and ordering information:

The tapas pre-orders should be made by 10 pm Wednesday, September 11th. The venue will not take food orders on the day of the performance. We suggest you do the food order on the same day the tickets are purchased so that the deadline is not missed. 

The food order will be made by purchasing a food voucher by visiting flamencocalgary.com. The price per person is $25, including all taxes and processing fees. Each order will include 5 types of tapas as follows: 

• Tortilla de Patatas (a Typical Spanish Potato Omelette)
• Salmorejo Cordobés (a Typical Spanish cold soup from Cordoba served in shooter glasses)
• Gambas al Ajillo (Shrimp in garlic sauce)
• Calamari
• Samosas
