EAT / SLEEP / CHEER / REPEAT

Directed by Tanya Doyle | 87 min | Ireland

An NWF “NOONER” - ALL Tickets Just $10!

From award-winning director Tanya Doyle (The House) comes an uplifting coming-of-age documentary exploring gender, strength and why "things considered female" are not taken seriously. Meet the athletes of Ireland's National Cheerleading team, a group of young misfits who have found a place where they belong. However, without respect and support for the sport in Ireland, these athletes don't believe they can ever win.

As their anxiety-crippled coach fights to keep them motivated, a team of underdog athletes strive to make their mark at the World Championships. This is a story of athletes who don’t just want to fit in, they want to stand out!

Preceded by the short film :

WE ARE FLYING STARS

Directed by by Todd Antony | 8 min | New Zealand

The civil war in Sierra Leone (1991-2002) not only killed more than 50,000 people, but it also led to thousands of innocent civilians having legs, arms or hands forcibly amputated by rebel soldiers or removed by landmines. The Flying Star Amputees are a group of football teams born out of the adversity of this war. While all the players are victims of civil war amputations, football has brought them joy, confidence, and hope for a better future.
