San Diego Hula Academy & Hau Ura are thrilled to return to The Grand Ritz Theater for their annual hōʻʻike event.

Under the direction of Kumu Hula Kawena Garuba, Raʻatira ʻAulani Murphy, San Diego Hula Academy & Hau Ura present an evening of culture perpetuating traditions of Hawaiʻi and Tahiti. This yearʻs production, entitled “E Mālama Aku E Mālama Mai”, explores the moʻoʻolelo (history) of Hawaiʻi and Tahitiʻs revered deities.

In the honor of the teachings of our kūpuna, we are blessed to share the stories deeply rooted in history, tradition, spirituality and culture. Join us on this exploration of stories moving you through chant, song and movement.
