Description

George Orwell's Animal Farm
New adaptation by Dr. Craig Walker | World Premiere

George Orwell’s Animal Farm is a sharp political allegory that traces the rise and fall of a revolutionary ideal. On a rural farm, the animals overthrow their human owner in pursuit of equality, self-governance, and collective freedom. As leadership consolidates and memory is manipulated, the principles that once united the animals are steadily corrupted, revealing how power can distort even the most just intentions.

In this new adaptation, Dr. Craig Walker seeks to uphold the integrity of Orwell’s original work, honouring its clarity, urgency, and moral force. Premiering at the Dan School of Drama and Music, the production foregrounds the enduring relevance of Orwell’s warning about authority, propaganda, and the fragile nature of democratic ideals.
