Description
Join us for an evening of youth-created films at the DRIVE-IN at Telus Spark. Hosted by Canada Bridges and The Napi Collective, this Story Jam is an opportunity to experience Indigenous Youth Storytelling via film, under the stars. Please be advised the films may contain mature content and language and are intended for mature audiences. This event is safety-conscious and socially-distanced, with protocols put in place by our partners at Telus Spark. Reserving a spot for your vehicle is free; however, donations in support of Story Jams are welcome and encouraged at the time of ticket checkout. If you are unable to attend, please return your ticket so that others may take your spot! Concession will be available.

When Archie wins big and decides to throw a big old rez party, Sophia, his daughter tries to escape the cycles of her reality through television, but too soon her fantasy and her reality collide.
A Night Out
The story follows a slacker named Jared as he pressures his younger cousin Tommy to come with him to a Rez party. Jared sells it as a night out for the boys but really wants to run into his ex girlfriend, Nance. Life doesn’t stand still and the night doesn’t go as planned. It soon turns into confronting insecurities and fears about leaving home and the chances we miss in life.
Kaiyii
In the not so distant dystopian future, a group of misfits seek refuge from the harsh winter. What they find is a strange indigenous woman. Agamemnon, leader of the misfits decides to initiate the newest member — Nightcrawler. He is a man unfit for the brutal nature of this world ravaged by climate change and exploitation. Nightcrawler is tasked with one simple goal: gain the trust of this Indigenous woman and be invited to the old tribal reserve, a land of wealth and abundance — but what she offers is more than they bargained for.
Niksokowaiks
Niksokowaiks tells the story of our relationship to food and the many gifts the bison gave to us. The grandmother begins by telling her granddaughter about how Napi, The Blackfoot Trickster, abused his relationship to the bison and the consequences that transpired. Niksokowaiks is an drama/animation about how we teach our children through storytelling.
Tales From The Rez
A widowed Indigenous man is offered a second chance to be reunited with his deceased wife but at the cost of his soul.

Refund Policy
NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. In the event of show cancellation by management due to severe weather, mechanical breakdown or unforeseen circumstances prior to showtime, with less than 60 minutes of run time on a single feature, or during the first feature of a double feature, a full refund will be offered. Tickets are non-transferable and management reserves the right to refuse entry.
