Steffen Berkhahn, professionally known as DJ Dixon, is a distinguished German DJ, producer, and label owner renowned for his contributions to the electronic music scene. Born in 1975 in Anklam, Germany, he initially pursued careers in professional football and long-distance running before transitioning to music in the early 1990s. He began DJing under the name Dixon in Berlin clubs such as Turbine, Tresor, E-Werk, and WMF, where he held a weekly residency with Mitja Prinz. 

In 2005, Dixon co-founded the record label Innervisions with Kristian Rädle and Frank Wiedemann of Âme. The label has significantly influenced the global house scene, known for its distinctive sound and artistic vision. 

Beyond his musical endeavors, Dixon has expanded into fashion and technology. In 2017, he co-founded the fashion label Together We Dance Alone, which gained prominence when Virgil Abloh featured it in his first season for Louis Vuitton Men's. Additionally, Dixon co-founded Transmoderna, a hybrid collective merging digital arts with electronic music, creating immersive multimedia installations and events that bridge the gap between museum and club environments. 

Dixon's influence extends into virtual reality; he became the first DJ to perform in a virtual reality setting within the online game Grand Theft Auto Online, offering players a unique soundtrack to their virtual nightclub experiences.

In 2024, Dixon continued to be a prominent figure in the electronic music scene, performing at various festivals and events worldwide. Notably, he delivered a futuristic set at the Cercle Festival 2024, showcasing his innovative approach to DJing. 

Throughout his career, Dixon has been recognized for his visionary contributions to electronic music, blending past influences with future innovations. His work continues to inspire and shape the global dance music landscape.
