Rise Up! Weekends presents A Divas Opera Christmas!

Divas Opera is bringing the joy, togetherness and Christmas spirit back to Calgary with their concert, ‘A Divas Opera Christmas’. Presented by Rise Up! Weekends, with support from the Calgary Arts Development and the City of Calgary, the Divas will be singing all of their favourite Christmas Carols, including all of the online gifts they gave to Calgary virtually in 2020. The evening will have all of the gowns, quick costumes changes, and high quality music that Divas Opera is known for, while also creating a wonderful sense of Christmas spirit! Joined by Carlos Foggin on piano and the Rocky Mountain Trombones, the evening will be one not to be missed. Even Santa Claus has promised to stop by the concert during his busy holiday season.

The GRAND is participating in the Restrictions Exemptions Program.

PARAMETERS

• Patrons 12+ years of age must provide proof of being fully vaccinated in order to attend an event at the GRAND. Patrons attending events at the GRAND are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the second dose of a two-dose vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, or AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD) or two weeks after receiving a vaccine for a single-dose vaccine (Janssen/Johnson & Johnson).

   

• Patrons 12+ years of age who cannot be vaccinated must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to attending an event at the GRAND or provide proof of medical exemption.

  • Patrons providing a negative COVID-19 test result for entry must provide documentation indicating a negative test result no more than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the performance start time. The COVID-19 test must be conducted by a third-party other than Alberta Health Services or Alberta Precision Laboratories. Tests that are/were self-administered will not be accepted.

     

• The GRAND, as per Alberta Health Services and provincial Guidelines, will accept a Canadian Armed Forces vaccine record, First Nations immunization record, vaccine records issued by other provinces and territories, and/or ArriveCAN with a valid international travel identity document.

   

• Patrons 18+ years of age will also be required to present government-issued photo identification, eg. provincial ID card, driver’s license, and/or passport in order to verify their identity regardless of vaccination status, proof of negative COVID-19 test, or proof of medical exemption.
