Hugh’s Room Live proudly presents the third edition of Discoveries hosted and curated by Amanda Walther of Dala, and featuring T.Thomason, Housewife, Kunle, Leah Holtom. This special evening shines a spotlight on songwriters who inspire—artists whose music is honest, bold, and deeply personal. Each performer brings a unique voice to the stage, offering fresh perspectives and unforgettable songs in an intimate, artist-focused setting.

T.Thomason
A longtime indie-pop powerhouse with emotionally charged performances and bold, affirming songwriting, T. Thomason is known for turning vulnerability into strength. From working with Sarah McLachlan to opening for Carly Rae Jepsen, T. brings a message of queer joy, resilience, and tenderness with every show.

Housewife
The solo project of Brighid Fry, Housewife explores themes of identity, gender, and personal growth through lush indie-rock and grunge-pop textures. A former Canadian Folk Music Award winner (as part of Moscow Apartment), Brighid’s latest EP Girl of the Hour is a bold and insightful chronicle of self-discovery. Honest, humorous, and wildly original, Housewife is a voice for a new generation of genre-defiant artists.

Kunle
Born in Nigeria and based in Toronto, Kunle is a masterful multi-instrumentalist whose music fuses folk, soul, and West African storytelling. His rich, boundary-crossing sound blends fingerstyle guitar, talking drum, harmonica, and proverbs drawn from Yoruba tradition. With an extensive resume that includes Stratford Festival, Afrofest, and Mariposa Folk Festival, Kunle’s performances are as moving as they are joyful.

Leah Holtom
Brampton-born folk-country singer-songwriter Leah Holtom is quickly making her mark with heartfelt storytelling, soaring vocals, and a rootsy blend of pedal steel, fiddle, and acoustic guitar. Her debut EP Patchwork has earned critical acclaim and thousands of streams, along with the 2024 Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award. With recent showcases across Ontario and a growing fanbase, Leah brings warmth, soul, and sincerity to every song.
